Architetture Trasparenti. Attravero l'arte contemporanea offers a playful journey through contemporary art, born from a reflection on the concept of boundaries—understood not only as geographical lines, but also as mental and perceptual spaces.
Curated by Guido Comis, Linda Carello, and Daniele Capra, and organized by the Regional Agency for Cultural Heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia (ERPAC), the project is based on the idea of the boundary not as a barrier, but as a threshold—something that can be crossed, whether with the gaze or with the body.
Some of the selected works alter the perception of the spaces in which they are installed, making them uncertain, open to question. Others create volumes that can be physically passed through. Still others, exhibited outdoors, challenge the very distinction between inside and outside, between enclosed and open space.
The artists were invited to propose works capable of constructing volumes and architectures that invite interaction—works that are meant to be experienced even before they are observed.
The fifteen selected installations—laid out along a route that begins at the eastern barchessa (arcaded wing), continues through the main body of the villa, and extends into the magnificent historical park—enter into dialogue with the Baroque architecture of Villa Manin and the surrounding natural landscape.
In a constant interplay between artwork and context, inside and outside, the viewer is invited to explore the space with a curious and engaged gaze.
The exhibition combines aesthetic exploration with a playful, immersive dimension.
Architetture Trasparenti is an invitation to lose oneself in lights, sounds, and ephemeral geometries—to be drawn into environments that shift and transform with every step.
The exhibition thus becomes not just a space to observe, but a place to temporarily inhabit, traverse, and fully experience.
