X AT VETRA BUILDING, Milano

Two hands touching, tending towards each other, a simple and symbolic gesture, a metaphor for relationships, care, collaboration: this is how X presents itself, the installation that the artist Patrick Tuttofuoco created for the façade of the renovated “Vetra Building”, a project designed by the Il Prisma architectural studio for Axa Investment, owner of the building overlooking Pope John Paul II Park and Piazza Vetra. The historic former tax collection office – built between 1959 and 1963 to a design by Ferdinando Reggiori – has thus been transformed into a contemporary building, renovated in its intended use, shapes, volumes and materials, for a regeneration project architectural and urban which sees in the languages of contemporary art an important tool for conveying messages and values to the community.
