We are glad to announce that Simone Berti has won the 2025 Premio Marche with his two works Progetto Per Un'Aquila and Progetto Per Un Cervo.
The jury awarded Simone Berti for the innovative transformation of research into the practice of contemporary art, and for his recognized artistic stature at the national level, which is also reflected locally through his teaching at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino.
The Premio Marche was established in 1957 in Ancona thanks to Alfredo Trifogli, a key figure in the city’s history, with the aim of promoting research in contemporary art. Held in Ancona until 1999, the award then went on hiatus and resumed in 2018, with two editions held in Ascoli Piceno and another two hosted in Urbino. In 2025, the Premio Marche returns permanently to Ancona thanks to the commitment of the Municipality, reaffirming its founding principles.
